Register to Vote in Bergen County, NJ
This service isn't handled by the County Clerk. Here's where to go instead.
New Jersey registers voters through a county office, but not this one. The Division of Elections says to “mail or deliver the Voter Registration Application and/or Party Affiliation Form to the County Commissioner of Registration or Superintendent of Electionsfor your county” — which county has which depends on the county. The words “county clerk” do not appear on that page at all.
You can also register online at voter.svrs.nj.gov, at a Motor Vehicle Commission agency, or at any State agency that offers registration. The Bergen County Clerk on (201) 336-7000 can tell you which office holds registration for this county — the clerk does run other election functions, including ballot position and candidate filings.
⚠️ This office does not process voter registration. Use the agency linked above. The office below is your county's County Clerk — useful for other services.
