Look Up Property Records in Sheridan County, NE
Here's what to expect at the County Clerk — fees, what to bring, and where to go.
The register of deeds and the county clerk charge “ten dollars for the first page and six dollars for each additional page” for recording an instrument (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 33-109). Part of each fee goes to records preservation and modernization — inside the figure, not added to it. A deed also carries the documentary stamp tax, a tax on the grantor that is separate from the recording fee (§ 76-901).
Recording fees are the same in every county: $10 for the first page and $6 for each page after (§ 33-109).
