The statute fixes the fee: “twenty dollars for documents containing one to six pages and sixty-five dollars for documents containing more than six pages plus three dollars for each additional page after the first twenty-five pages” (11-18-05(1)(a)). $3.00 of each recording goes to the document preservation fund — inside the fee, not added to it. Add $10.00 if the first page lacks the required margin, and $1 for each section of land listed after the tenth.
