🏠 North Dakota deeds are recorded by the County Recorder at a fee fixed by statute: $20 for one to six pages (N.D.C.C. 11-18-05). 💍 Marriage licenses come from the recorder unless the county commission has designated another official (14-03-10) — twelve counties have, to the Clerk of District Court, the Finance Office, the Tax Equalization Office, the Treasurer or the Auditor. The licence fee is capped at $30 and a $35 supplemental fee is added; every county page that gives a price says $65. North Dakota has no voter registration; the County Auditor runs elections. Birth and death records come from the state's Vital Records office, and trade names are registered with the Secretary of State.
