Hunting & fishing licenses in Wyoming aren't issued by the County Clerk

Wyoming Game & Fish sells hunting and fishing licenses online — one system covers both. Wyoming Game & Fish appoints its own selling agents — sporting-goods vendors holding a state sales tax license (W.S. 23-1-701(a)) — and each agent adds $2.00 to a license and $0.50 to a stamp or permit ON TOP of the published price (W.S. 23-1-701(b)). For a RESIDENT license you must show a valid Wyoming driver’s license or other proof of residency set by commission rule (W.S. 23-2-101(a)); a lifetime resident license needs ten continuous years of residency. The County Clerk has no role at all.
