Get a Death Certificate in Utah County, UT
This service isn't handled by the County Clerk. Here's where to go instead.
Death certificates are issued by Utah Vital Records, not the county clerk.
🌐 Go to the official portalvitalrecords.utah.gov ↗You may not need to post this. Utah local health departments issue certified copies over the counter, same day and without an appointment, for any Utah death from 1905 onward — you do not have to go to the county where it happened. Davis County, for example, charges $35.00 for the first copy — more than a birth certificate there — and $10.00 for each additional copy bought the same day, with printing until 4.30pm. Fees vary by county, so ring ahead. The mail route to Utah Vital Records remains if you would rather post it.
⚠️ This office does not process death certificates. Use the agency linked above. The office below is your county's County Clerk — useful for other services.
