A certified death copy is $15.00 under the Department's rule (ARSD 44:09:06:02(2)).

South Dakota law says no charge may be madefor a certified copy of a birth, death or marriage record “to a serviceman in or a veteran of any war or conflict”, or to a member of their family, when it is needed for a claim (SDCL 34-25-54).
