South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks sells hunting and fishing licenses online — one system covers both. You can also buy in person from retail license agents (sporting-goods stores and many other retailers) across South Dakota. The Register of Deeds does not sell them.

Anyone 18 or older also needs a habitat stamp, $10for residents (SDCL 41-6-85).
