Apply for a Passport in Humboldt County, NV
Passport applications go to an acceptance facility designated by the U.S. Department of State, and the County Clerk is not on that list. Here's where to go instead.
Federal fees, the same everywhere (22 CFR 22.1): a $35 execution fee paid to the acceptance facility, and for an adult passport book a $50 application fee plus the $80 security surcharge paid to the U.S. Department of State. First-time applicants use form DS-11 and apply in person.

Federal form, for a FIRST passport or a replacement — a renewal uses DS-82 and goes by post or online, not to a counter. It must be handed in IN PERSON at an acceptance facility, a passport agency by appointment, or a US embassy or consulate abroad. Acceptance facilities include post offices, many county clerk and recorder offices, and some libraries and courthouses; the U.S. Department of State designates them one location at a time, so use the facility directory linked above rather than assuming. Do not fill in or sign it before you arrive; the acceptance agent watches you sign.
⚠️ This office does not process passport applications — a passport acceptance facility does. The office below is your county's County Clerk — useful for other services.
