Register to Vote in Antrim County, MI

Michigan is one of the few states where the county clerk does not register voters. Register with the clerk of the city, township or village where you live — not with the Antrim County Clerk. MCL § 168.499(1) says an elector registers “by applying in person and signing the registration application before the clerk or assistant clerk of the township, city, or village in which the precinct is located.” Subsection (2) forbids that clerk to take a fee for it, so anyone asking you to pay is wrong.
