To become a notary
Apply through the Kentucky Secretary of State at sos.ky.gov first. Once approved, bring your commission certificate to the clerk's office, file your notary bond, and pay $19.

Bring your document and valid photo ID to the clerk's office. Do NOT sign the document before arriving — the notary must witness your signature. Pay $2 per signature.
