This service isn't handled by the Auditor/Clerk/Recorder. Here's where to go instead.

📍
Death certificates in Idaho aren't issued by the Auditor/Clerk/Recorder

Death certificates are issued by Idaho Vital Records (Health & Welfare), not the county clerk. A certified death certificate is $16.00 per copy under the Board of Health and Welfare's rule, IDAPA 16.02.08.251.01 (effective 4-6-23), and that $16.00 already includes the $1.00 coroner training and education fund fee — the same $16.00 as a birth certificate. Access is restricted by § 39-270.
