Six hours of premarital education and the fee is not charged at all
A couple who presents a certificate of completion of a qualifying premarital education program at the time of application shall not be assessed a marriage license fee — other charges may still apply. The program must be at least six hours, completed within the 12 months before you apply, and you must do it together. It has to be delivered by a licensed professional counselor, social worker or marriage and family therapist, a licensed psychiatrist, a licensed psychologist, or an active member of the clergy.
