It is not refunded if no record is found. State Office death records run from January 1919 onward. Mail it to the State Office of Vital Records in Atlanta, or to your county vital records office, which issues records for events that happened in that county. Not to this office. Pay by U.S. money order or certified check made out to the State Office of Vital Records — no cash, no personal checks — and include a copy of your photo ID.
