Fla. Stat. § 28.24(13): recording, indexing and filing an instrument no larger than 14 by 8½ inches costs "First page or fraction thereof: 5.00" and "Each additional page or fraction thereof: 4.00", and the same subsection adds two service charges on every instrument listed in § 28.222 (judgments from the courts and notices of lis pendens excepted): $1.00 for the first page and $0.50 for each additional page for the Public Records Modernization Trust Fund ((13)(d)), and "an additional service charge of $4 per page" ((13)(e)). So recording costs $10.00 for the first page and $8.50 for each additional page. The Clerk of the Circuit Court is the county recorder — § 28.222(1), “recorder of all instruments”, kept “in one general series called Official Records”. Copies are priced separately: $1.00 a page for a photographic copy (§ 28.24(6)(a)), $2.00 to certify a copy (§ 28.24(4)), and $6.00 a page for a copy made by any other process (§ 28.24(8)).
