≈$98marriage license — call to confirm

In Arizona, marriage licenses are issued by the Clerk of the Superior Court — not a county clerk (Arizona has no traditional county clerk office). The fee is about $98 statewide (ARS § 12-284), though some counties differ. There is no waiting period, no blood test, and no residency requirement, and the license is valid for a full 12 months — much longer than most states — usable anywhere in Arizona regardless of the issuing county. Both parties appear in person; Social Security numbers are collected separately from the affidavit (ARS § 25-121(B)), and the officiant returns the completed license within 30 days (ARS § 25-123).

💜 Covenant marriage available

Arizona is one of only three states offering covenant marriage (ARS §§ 25-901 to 25-906) — a more binding commitment that requires premarital counseling and a notarized declaration. Ask the Clerk of the Superior Court about it when you apply.
